Far removed from the monumentality of the great oratorios, Saint-Saëns embraces a more intimate scale. The voices intertwine in passages of delicate lyricism, moving from contemplation to joy and leading the narrative towards its final outpouring of celebration. In its simplicity and luminous quality, the music seems to capture the very essence of Christmas.
The work is performed by the I Giovani di Milano Choir, prepared by Maria Teresa Tramontin, with Roberto Franca at the piano: a concert that invites us, through music, to rediscover the most authentic spirit of anticipation and celebration.
