Soprano Chiara Isotton was born in 1985 in Belluno where she studied at the A. Miari Music School. After graduating with honors from the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice, she continued her training with Raina Kabaivanska, William Matteuzzi, Roberto Scandiuzzi and Renato Bruson. After ranking in numerous national competitions, in March 2013 she was among the winners of the Spoleto Competition which allowed her to perform in the summer at the Festival dei Due Mondi and to debut in Tosca. In the same year she joined the Academy of Advanced Studies at the Teatro alla Scala where she had the opportunity to debut in the Theater as Priestess in Aida conducted by Zubin Mehta and Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor conducted by Stefano Ranzani. In June 2015 she graduated from the Academy and in September she returned to Spoleto debuting Mimì in La bohème. Concert engagements include her appearance at the Hermitage Music Festival in St. Petersburg, a performance of Rossini’s Stabat Mater at the Auditorium of the Wiener Sängerknaben, and a series of recitals in Korea alongside Renato Bruson. She has also performed in Hong Kong, at the State Theater in New Brunswick (New Jersey), in Al Ain, at the Bolshoi conducted by Tugan Sokhiev, and at the Carlo Felice in Genoa in Mahler’s Fourth Symphony conducted by Fabio Luisi.
This season: Suor Angelica at the Bilbao Opera, Tosca at the Royal Opera House, at the Berlin Staatsoper, at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Stabat Mater (Rossini) at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, La fanciulla del West at the Budapest Opera. Later she will be back in Tosca, Elisabetta (Don Carlo), Manon Lescaut, Amelia (Un ballo in maschera). Recent engagements include the Donizetti Gala by Edita Gruberova with Maestro Armiliato, Cintia in La cena delle beffe with C.Rizzi, La Medium in Modena, her debut in Il Trovatore in Sassari, Margherita in Mefistofele at the Theatre du Capitole in Toulouse, Tosca at the Deutsche Oper in 7 Deaths of Maria Callas, Suor Angelica at the Filarmonico, at the NNTT in Tokyo and in Bologna, again in Il trovatore at the Municipale in Piacenza and in Modena, her debut in
