Luca Alberto Kaufman (New York, 2004) is an Italian-American violinist currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London with So-Ock Kim.
A prizewinner of major international competitions, he was awarded First Prize at the Milan Conservatory Prize (2023), as well as second prizes at the Leonid Kogan International Competition in Brussels and the Joseph Micka International Violin Competition in Prague.
He performs regularly in Italy and abroad as a soloist and chamber musician, appearing in important venues and festivals.
His artistic development has been shaped through collaborations and masterclasses with leading musicians including Maxim Vengerov, Sergej Khachatryan, Marc Bouckov, Julian Rachlin, Clara Jumi Kang and Vadim Gluzman.
He is a member of the Kaufman Trio, with which he has performed internationally and premiered works including a trio by Evgeny Kissin.
He plays a violin kindly loaned by the J & A Beare Society.
