Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano

Marcello Corti is a conductor, communicator, and creative talent whose work spans classical, contemporary, popular, and art music. His career is marked by constant musical exploration, allowing him to work with professionals, young musicians, and amateurs. With his energetic and engaging conducting style, he manages to inspire both musicians and the audience, offering innovative musical experiences.

Since 2022, Marcello has collaborated with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, conducting projects within their Educational and POP's seasons, in addition to being the conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica Junior di Milano. With the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, he has conducted highly impactful programs, including Respighi's Pini di Roma, Prokofiev's Pierino e il Lupo, Mussorgsky's Quadri di un’esposizione, and Cognolato's SIDORECYCLE. Within the Discovery projects, Marcello narrates the great masterpieces of the past through engaging and unique lecture-concerts.

Committed to the promotion of contemporary music, he has conducted numerous world premieres of living composers and collaborates with the record series 19'40", exploring works by emerging composers. He has developed educational projects with the Conservatories of Sassari and Lecce and has twelve recordings to his credit, including the Call for Scores project, which collects unpublished works by young international composers.

Marcello is also a passionate communicator, capable of discussing music using simple and accessible language. He wrote on the topic of music pedagogy in the book In ascolto della bellezza (2021) and promotes projects that unite music and sustainability, reaching thousands of children. He is the conductor of the ensemble Esecutori di Metallo su Carta, with which he explores contemporary music in prestigious and unexpected venues such as the Venice Biennale and the MIAMI Festival.
