Young but already widely acclaimed conductor Nicolò Umberto Foron makes his debut with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano in a programme centred on the dialogue between tradition and transformation. From the refined Baroque dance idiom of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 1—showcasing the artistry of the Orchestra's principal players—to the luminous, elegiac remembrance of the past in Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin, each work reimagines musical heritage through a fresh and distinctive voice. The journey culminates in Beethoven's Symphony No. 3, the celebrated Eroica, a work that marked a decisive turning point in the history of music. Here, the symphonic form expands to unprecedented dimensions, asserting itself as a profound vehicle for artistic thought and forever redefining the language of the symphony.
