When music becomes shared memory

Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, in collaboration with La Meridiana – Società Cooperativa Sociale, is inaugurating a new line of activities dedicated to people with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers, creating opportunities for meeting and well-being based on the evocative power of music: songs and choruses capable of reactivating memories, emotions and a sense of belonging, transforming listening into an experience of shared memory.

This first event is accompanied by a second project that expands the program through the participation of students from the Foundation's Singing Course for Tone-Deaf Students. The project involves collaboration with the Coro SonoraMente per Walter Vinci Onlus, with a phase of independent group preparation between October and December based on shared repertoire, and a series of group rehearsals at the Foundation's facilities between January and March, aimed at staging a free concert at the Milan Auditorium.
